making a screensaver website,,do i need web hosting AND a domain name?

computer pros-please dont BEAT me if this is a ridiculous question lol. i was just sort of overwhelmed by this one website. ANYWAY, i hope to soon create a website for screensaver downloads. i was wondering if i need to pay my chosen provider (locodomains.com) for web hosting and domain hosting. as always, any response is GREATLY appreciated!! =]

4. as the answer above says it is best to purchase hosting and domain together, ill recommend www.bluhost.com and www.xpswebhost.com both are great but i suggest xpswebhost.com because they are flexible with prices. ive been with many host and i find that its better to go with small or mediume hosting companies rather then the larger ones for the simple reason that with smaller companies its easier to interact with them on a personal level and be treated like a person and not just a profit to them. good luck!
