Are there any free domain names/web hosting for students?

I remember seeing one in a magazine a couple of years ago. Something like 3 years free using a .edu domain name.

1. .edu domains are handled by educational organizations, like colleges and universities. The only way to get a yourname.edu domain would be to create your own school and use it, as the .edu TLD is restricted. If you're currently attending college or a university, chances are that they offer some free hosting (your "site" will be something like schooname.edu/~yourname).
