Video Site script and a website with cheap dedicated hosting too run the site?

Hello, im not exactly trying too make "the next youtube" its more for personal reasons. My current host doesnt allow streaming video (even though it says it clearly) for webhosting, incase your wondering its Hostgator. I asked them about it and even the dude at support didnt know it says it supports it... so he tells me too email support (since it was a chat session) and support tells me it just takes way too much bandwidth too allow webhosting have streaming video with some sort of video plugin FFMPEG .. so anyway they then tell me their dedicated server does.. but the prices are a bit high for me at this point and i wanna know if theirs a site that has a cheaper price.. if not then i have no choice but too use gators.. much thanks in advance :)

1. well, as far as hosts, i always recommend http://www.1and1.com/?k_id=9818790 but im not sure if they can help with this either. have you considered just uploading your vids to youtube and then embedding the script into your source html? this way, its hosted on their servers....?
