  1. I have been using bidtoe.com for a long time, and I have never had a single problem with them. Their cust. support is super quick! I definetly reccomend them.
  2. I use Host4Profit and I've never had a problem. It costs 24.95/mth and if you get others to use the service you get paid for it! Good for both you and them!!
  3. The only ones I have any experience with are free ones such as http://www.freewebs.com/zillionaire (Freewebs.com) and http://www.find-career.blogspot.com (Blogger.com). These two are very good ones that have menus to help you design.
  4. If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months' time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account. I would like to suggest following webhosting which I use, they are excellent. Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukenden/ They offer hosting of "unlimited domains" and you will get massive webspace of 300000 MB (300 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer "a free Domain Name" and installing service called "Fantastico". By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer "Free Website Builder" as well. Visit the site to check details. Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukenden/ More hosting visit http://www.nicewebhosts.com FREE AD-FREE HOSTING. 5. It's really nice to hear that you are considering a factor (down time) ignored by most people. To compare and select various hosting companies, you can visit; http://webhostingbasics.blogspot.com
  6. You must check this out. I have been with them for quiet long now. The support is 5 star. Very Affordable WebHosting. http://www.bigtimehosting.co.nr/ http://www.bigtimehosting.co.nr/
  7. There is no easy answer to that, even a host that is good will have some downtime, you can lessen that by getting a VPS, or dedicated server but its important to remember that with shared hosting you are sharing a server with other people who can cause problems. Also, how do you define inexpensive? $10 bucks a month? $25? For $10 bucks a month you will get a nice cheap host but you get what you pay for. For $25 you can get a bit better. Try MediaTemple.com too, they are more expensive but if downtime is really important they are the best as they have almost vps like hosting. If you just need cheap good hosting and realize it will still have some downtime take a look at hostgator.com, hostnine.com, site5.com, lunarpages.com, bluehost.com, hostmonster.com, all those have a solid reputation.
  8. soccerjl5, Have just been reading through some of the posts regarding Web Hosting and noticed your in the same situation as me (having some difficulty finding a decent host) take a quick look at: http://www.uk2.net/ The things that stood out to me- 1. Currently UK2 are offering a free domain with all of there web hosting packages (which are decently priced). 2. According to Pingdom.com and Hyperspin.com this year they've had 100% (which is always nice). and 3. they're UK based with UK based call centres so no more indecipherable calls to the Pacific Rim if something goes wrong. Hope this helps.
  9. Try some thing which is cheap and Best.... KOHLI HOSTING - http://www.kohlihosting.com/ You can host your website in $14.50 for 1 yr... wat more u wanna 99.9% Uptime.... BOOK NOW!!!
  10. I've just been setting up a website and wrote this blog about it - Finding a Domain Name and Cheap Web Hosting http://www.web-a-week.com/2007/09/05/finding-a-domain-name-and-cheap-web-hosting/ You'll see from my blog that I found a really great deal $9.99 a YEAR for unlimited space. You may think that this is just a small company, but they are resellers for a much larger one, that has automatic fail-over and backup - Quotes about their technology "Our platform is designed in such a way that if any server fails another server automatically and without delay takes over that server's workload" "As well as this, all data is stored in two large network disk arrays. Data is automatically synchronised between the arrays so that in the event of an array failing the remaining array continues to serve data to the servers with no downtime."
