- There are a lot of web hosting companies, so you should choose a best one, here is a review of top 10 web hosting http://review-pedia.com/index.php/Web-Hosting/Servers/Top-10-Web-Hosting-in-March-2008.html
- There are lots of different services out there. The best is really going to be determined by what it is you want to do with the website. Here are some things to consider; 1) How much band width do you need? If this is a personal site that family and friends are visiting, it won't matter. If this is for a business, you will want to watch this. Get as much as you can for a good price. 2) Online storage? Are you going to be storing and posting items of large file sizes? Pictures, graphics, programs. You will need more storage. 3) Domain name? Watch out, some places will offer you a cheap price on the domain name when you sign up, but then jack the price on you to keep it after the first year. Be ready to move it to another provider if needed. 4) Free stuff. Most sites will provide free web templates and things like that. How many email addresses to you get, templates, software, etc. Each varies. So all that being said I have two recommendations. If you want to try playing around with a website before putting some cash down, google has free websites you can set up for personal use. You can get your feet wet and see what it is like. If you are ready to take the plunge, I would recommend siteground.com. Lots of bandwidth and storage. They also have tutorials to help get things going.
