Which web hosting company should I use?

I'm planning to host my own blog but I'm having hard time selecting the best and value-for-money web hosting company. I've read reviews, done comparison and asked around, but I'm still undecided on which web hosting company I can count on. Help me please. Your expertise is very much appreciated

Since you're just doing a blog, you could easily get away with their home package which is $5 and comes with 2 free domain names (this is what I have) - their statistics on bandwith, storage (lots of it!), 20 databases, 50 subdomains...they give you free google/yahoo ad credits, free spreadshirt account & more... I am very happy with them so far, I had used godaddy before and what a nightmare that was!
