- I'm building my web site right now using Yahoo! Web Hosting, and so far I am really happy with how easy it seems to be and I'm no computer genius!
- my dad has it for his business; the service is great (the people are patient), you get to control how much money you want to spend- and it depends on the clicks you want. the site is very organized and neat. theres alot to learn, but once you talk to a real yahoo worker on the phone or email, it's very easy to manage! ( i suggest phone...the people are very nice) but- there are negatives: -businness is slow. there are a million other sites that are hosted, and it's more difficult to advertise. -you're taking the risk of spending your money on those clicks. there's always plenty of days when there will be clicks, but no ordering or purchases. alot of days. other than that, you are in full control of everything on the site, & that's a plus. i would recomend you try it for a few months. it's productive and teaches you how to advertise and create your online business better. my dad learned alot from sitting on the computer for 3 hours, listening to a yahoo tour talker. it was cool. so just try it out
- the starter plan is almost USD170 per year and its only for setting up a e-commerce website. but the most important aspect of a successful bis is targeted traffic which is usually come from search engine. and you have to do it on your own. there are companies provides search engine optimization(SEO) services but it could cost somewhere USD100-USD200 per month or even more. you can learn seo yourself but it takes time and unfortunately you will get conflicting feedbacks from so many seo expert out there that you never know which one should you follow. and also a fact that 90% of web business owners failed within 5 years. there should be reason why that happen. so why not spend less than USD300 per year and get all the tools, advise, help and guide to make a successful website in one place. they also give money back guarantee no question ask. so don't you want to associate with the only company on the net that provide that kind of services and has proof that their systems works.
- Yes, I do recommend it. We use it for our stain glass business and it is where we get 95% of our business (we do stained glass). We can control the price of our advertising and web site and we get to decide where it pops up on Yahoo and Google searches. Good Luck!
