Web Hosting Dedicated Hosting

Which is better for website hosting, dedicated server or shared? Can they both be just as good?

Some companies offer hosting for about $50 per month, yet other offer hosting for under $10 per month. Why such they huge differance?

  1. A dedicated server means that your website would be the only site on your server. So you would not have to worry other sites on your server causing server wide problems that will affect the performance of your website. If your website is a high volume site that would lose a lot of revenue if faced with any down time then a dedicated server is the way to go. If on the other hand your site is informational, and does not lose money for every minute you are down, then you should be able to use a shared host.
