Will google un-penalize me at some point for what my hosting/marketing company did? My website is 2 weeks old, and I have enjoyed being the 3rd 'hit' on google uk for a particular (and very relevant!) search term. This has gone from position no. 3 to no. 781, a couple of days ago. My web hosting company submitted a ranking progress report twice within a week, because I upgraded my marketing package within this week, and they automatically do another one with each package. Google don't like people (I didn't even do it myself!) submitting ranking reports more than once a month, and seem to have responded to this by jettisoning me off the 3rd spot to the 781st for my keyword. Will they 'un-penalize' me or will this position damage be permanent?

Can I get free web page hosting and use my own domain name? I have already purchased a domain name through godaddy.com, but I heard that you need web hosting as well, because I can't figure out how to build a page on godaddy. I have a google pages site that I would eventually like my domain name to mirror too. But I think that your.portraits.by.design.com is much easier to remember (and looks better on a business card!) than portraits.by.design.va.googlepages.com How do I do this? Free Web Hosting? I am looking for a good free web host. I would liek it to have email, subdomains, and unobtrusive ads (for instance, foot banners, textlinks or no ads). I don't want to have to go through forum posting and applying, I would like a good, free web host. I have tried GeoCities (the site builder would not work), Gigahive (they stuffed me around), Bravenet (I've cnacelled my email subscription two times now and I still get email from them) and phpnet.us (used cpanel, which is just plain annoying), Google Pages (nice, but not enoguh formatting things) and Freewebs (insufficent space and too many hoops to jump through). As you can tell, I am very picky. I would like to avoid cpanel at all costs, because it is slow and painful. A basic web editor would be nice. problem in hosting a website with free google apps for my domain name? I have set up my domain name, and now would like to upload an index page to my website. I used Google Apps for the same and changed my webaddress to www.say-designs.com Also at name.com I modified my DNS setting. i.e. i added a CNAME as "www" and RECORD ANSWER as "ghs.google.com" I also set up URL forwarding to http://www.say-designs.com/index.html and uploaded my index page with google web page apps upload option in web page creator.
